Chobe and Linyanti: Discover Two Wildlife Reserves Far from the Ordinary

To the northeast of the Okavango Delta, sit the Chobe and Linyanti Game Reserves. Renowned for their predators and large concentrations of game, particularly elephant, the region has been heavily filmed by National Geographic.

There are many varied habitats within the Chobe and Linyanti Parks, such as marshes, waterways, riverine forests, dry woodlands, and the world-famous Savuti Channel.

Journey through the Savuti Channel

This channel is a waterway connecting the Linyanti River to the Zibadianja Lagoon.
The interior of the Chobe National Park is at the Savuti Marsh.
The Savuti dried up for the last time in 1980.
Today it’s an open grassland and home to a variety of amazing animals—lending spectacular views to visitors on Botswana tours.

Explore the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

The Reserve boasts 275,000 acres of private reserve on Chobe’s western boundary.
It offers a completely new perspective on Botswana compared to that of the Okavango Delta.
The Linyanti River, the Savuti Channel, and the woodlands of the interior are the three main features of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve.
Two-thirds of the famous Savuti Channel is in the private reserve, allowing guests to observe abundant wildlife privately and exclusively during their trip to Botswana.
The greatest wildlife can be viewed at the ridge between the forests of the interior, floodplains, and rivers of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve and the Savuti Channel.

Uncover the enchantment that lies in the African plains of Botswana’s Linyanti and Chobe.
