Kilimanjaro

Rising 15,000 feet from its base and 19,341 above sea level, the three inactive volcanic cones of Kilimanjaro form the world’s highest freestanding mountain. There are several routes to climb Kilimanjaro—depending upon your level of fitness—and most take about six to seven days to summit and descend. The climbs are not technical; however, the biggest challenge is altitude sickness.
