Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as “the Pearl of Africa,” is very beautiful and has one of the highest biodiversity ratings in the world. While much of Uganda's wildlife was sadly poached, especially elephants, the area is now protected, and elephant populations are growing, as are those of other animals. This park is quite scenic, with two lakes, volcanic craters, savannah grasslands, and tropical forests.
Hippo, buffalo, sitatunga, giant forest hog, Uganda kob, topi, waterbuck, elephant, and leopard are all found in Queen Elizabeth National Park, as well as the rare Shoe Billed Stork.
