Meet Our U.S.Team
 Sandy Salle, Chief Executive Officer
A native of Zimbabwe, Sandy was born and raised in southern Africa and was fortunate to travel to many places in the southern part of the continent. While she is now happily an American citizen, she does miss Africa—the smell of the first rains, the beautiful sunsets, and the magic of the people. Believing the next best thing to living in Africa is sharing it with others, in 2002, she joined Hills of Africa Travel as a partner with her sister-in-law, Meredith Hill. Sandy is Hills of Africa’s personal escort and takes great pride in giving her clients the once-in-a-lifetime, magical African experience they’ll remember forever.

 Michelle Potuzak
As the Group Trip and Special Projects Coordinator, Michelle Potuzak assists Hills of Africa Travel clients with exceptional enthusiasm in planning their dream African safaris. One of her largest projects is our student ambassador program, Academic Africa, which offers a unique student travel opportunity where students experience meaningful engagement with the people and places of Africa.
Prior to working for Hills of Africa Travel, Michelle was born in Ohio, graduated from Miami University, and possesses an Oxford Ohio Degree in Marketing. She has lived in Charlotte for 15 years, now, and in her spare time loves to play tennis and piano (although she insists that she’s not very good at it!).

 Amy Green
Knowing that she possessed a deep passion for exploration, and helping friends plan exciting outings and adventures, Amy Green left a 19-year career in teaching to pursue opportunities in the travel industry.
Amy joined the Hills of Africa Travel team in the fall of 2010 as the Director of Client Services and has been an extremely valuable asset to our team ever since. Assisting clients with everything from itinerary updates to trip preparation, and answering client questions to arranging special treats and surprises for travelers, Amy is delighted to say that she has been able to pursue her life’s passion!
Outside of Hills of Africa Travel, Amy keeps busy with her husband, Steve, and two energetic teenagers. As a Florida panhandle native, Amy developed a love for being outside and enjoying everything that nature has to offer. One of her favorite ways to spend time as a family is to explore the mountains of North Carolina on hikes in search of waterfalls. |

Russell Gammon is an exceptional historian with a special interest in African heritage. Russell conducts The Mists of Time heritage tour in Victoria Falls. While with Russell, you will explore the origins of the waterfall and the people who have lived in the land anointed by its mists. Russell has a strong affiliation with the local Africans, and you will have the privilege of visiting Monde Village and / or Mkuni Village to experience how the majority of people in Africa live their daily lives.
