One of our recent clients, Heidi D., just returned home from a trip to South Africa and had an amazing time!
Check out some of her experiences below in our interview:
Your trip to Africa started off in beautiful Cape Town and Cape Winelands. Tell us about your experiences in those regions of South Africa. What was your favorite part of that portion of your trip to South Africa?
This trip was a great introduction to South Africa. Our fabulous guide took us on an introductory tour of Cape Town, providing history, insight, and guidance. The Cape Winelands were spectacular. The day we went to the Cape of Good Hope was gorgeous and inspiring. The Table Mountain tour was just as breathtaking. Each site in Cape Town was great.
Tell us a little bit about your experiences at the accommodations you stayed at in Cape Town and Kruger National Park.
Four Rosmead in Cape Town was terrific. We stayed in the guest house and it was perfect for the three of us. They had friendly service, great food, and it was comfortable.
Arathusa Safari Lodge at Kruger National Park was terrific. It had beautiful accommodations, it was comfortable, and had incredible scenery. The resident hippos and daily visits by elephant and giraffe were amazing. Plus, they had delicious meals (you will never go hungry there).

What was your favorite moment of your entire trip and why?
There were so many incredible moments; it’s hard to name a favorite. Perhaps my favorite would have been seeing a rhino and her baby.

If you go back to Africa, would you visit the same places or travel to different areas? If you would travel to different areas, which ones would they be and why?
It would be easy to go back to the same places I went because they were great. But I’d probably visit Kenya and Zimbabwe next time.
