This morning, my kids woke up bright and early at 6am to get ready for the first day of school. They were not very happy bunnies having to wake up so early, and also to know that their cousins from Zimbabwe were able to sleep a couple of hours later than them. Very cute to go into their room and find Michael and his cousin, Thomas, sleeping top to tail. I’m very surprised they slept through the night, because it looked like there was a lot of kicking going on!!
We have been so fortunate this past month to have my mum, my sister and her family and my husband’s parents visiting. Actually Mark’s parents have emigrated from Zimbabwe, so they’ll be here for life. But I haven’t seen my sister and her family in 3 years and my mum in 2 years, so it’s been a lot of fun times catching up.
With 17 of us (two little children are missing and I’m taking the photograph), we have been treated to some pretty spectacular cuisine. I love food, so this week’s newsletter of various different ways of enjoying the beauty of Africa and the sensational food really tickles my taste buds. I hope you enjoy!
