Zanzibar / Spice Islands

Off the coast of Tanzania sits an archipelago, known as The Spice Islands, which is comprised of Zanzibar Island, Pemba, and other small islands. This unique archipelago is blessed with white, warm beaches, and fishing villages that remain unchanged by modern life.

The island of Zanzibar is one of the most culturally and historically preserved islands in the world and has a rich history with Egyptian, Phoenician, Indian, Chinese, Arab, and, more recently, Dutch and English traders. Within the heart of Zanzibar lies Stone Town, a World Heritage Site celebrated for its Arab-influenced masques, charming kikoi boutiques, and architecture. Some of the Zanzibar safari tours you can embark on include spice plantation tours, island tours, scuba diving safaris, and visits to the Jozani Forest to witness the elusive red colobus monkey, a species that is endemic to Zanzibar.
